Alterations

It is profound discontent
That provides the impetus

To drive needed changes

That spur action in us

We are not ever satisfied

To sit in our discomfort

Knowing the true value

Of what dreams are worth

What one often finds

Is that a burning itch here

Will soon naturally require

Some  sort of scratch there

When the burden we bear

Begins to pressure one side

We must adjust our weight

For the relief it will provide

Placing one foot at a time

In front of the other repeatedly

Is the surest way to arrive

At where on needs to be

As such we will continue

To make any alterations

That will eventually lead

To our desired destination
