Knowingly

How could it be,

That this had taken

Its own sweet time

And turned out this way,

Before being noticed.

Her touch, and scent,

And feel, and flavor,

Wrapped their tendrils

Around like a silken web,

Encasing him in a cocoon.

Electromagnetic waves

Had led him to her,

On a frequency matching

His own vibration, and he was

Unable to resist its pull.

Her essence nestled

In the crevices of his heart,

And the strength of it

Made him suddenly brave

Enough to reflect their beauty.

Only to emerge together,

With wings spread out to dry

He found her weeping with joy,

And wondering if it was dejavu,

Until he kissed her knowingly.
