Submerged
There were no partitions

Or barricades to seperate

The torrent of emotions

Flowing between them.

She bit her lip hard,

Using pain to affix

Into the present reality

These moments shared.

He held her hand,

Tracing along vessels

Which led to a heart

That had captured him.

It took one great leap

Over all the doubt,

To land them together

On acceptable terms.

Now they were both

In the middle clinging

To the joy of each other,

Under higher current.

He kissed her palm,

Holding it to his chest,

She felt how it’s beating

Synchronize with her own.

Providing an anchor

To fathom the depths,

Where the flood of love

Had submerged them.
