Puzzles & Pieces

Nothing fit together,
Only every other peice
Was in her possession.

They could not interlock,
Unless forced to fit,
Misshaped into spaces.

The big picture
Would not be seen
At this futile rate.

Putting the odd pieces
Of the puzzle in its box,
And tossing it aside.

Why was it that
With its missing parts,
This puzzle was like her life.

If not exactly, meaning
The pieces weren’t so flat,
But they never fit together.

And too many were missing,
To ever fully understand
Herself as a whole.

Large chunks were gone,
And the empty spaces
Left her incomplete.

Eventually there’ll be a box
That her mismatched peices
Will be tossed aside in too.
